How can I serve you all today. Oh goodness we have had such a rush of things going on around here. Pixie-chan and I have are going to the Anime Detour convention next weekend! On that note- there will be no post next week so we can have full enjoyment of the convention and bring you back news of Detour upon our return. I'm going as a Fem Undertaker this year (Black Butler) and let me tell you there has been sooo much work included in this cosplay I'm worried I'm going to totally forget something important. At the same time we are both super excited so be looking for our post about the convention in the next few weeks!
So, now that we have finished the news- let's get to our cafe special of the day (no looking up my skirt now). On my last give away post I asked what our reader's would like me to read for this weeks manga post and the request was for a manga from the Shounen Ai section- Thanks for the request! Let me bring you this delightful chocolate dessert with some spice to make it all the more rich!
Oko Sama Box
Mangaka: Aomiya Kara
Genre: Shounen Ai, Yaoi, comedy, school life
Status: Completed, 5.5 chapters
Age: 18+
Read It Here: http://www.mangahere.co/manga/oko_sama_box/
What is it?: Kawasaki and Fujita have been lifetime friends, but when Fujita starts dating a cute girl, K awasaki does all he can be supportive of the new relationship. But some feelings can't be hidden away no matter how hard you try.
My Opinion: Alright, this was a really cute roller coaster of emotions manga. Not ridiculously so, but it does take you on a mini feels trip. On the manga as a whole the characters are really interesting, I like the story line, and it's super cute. With of course of lovely little guy x guy scenes. On the other side of things I must confess this really isn't my favorite art style, while it works really well for the anime and is well done it's just not my personal cup of tea. I also found it hard to follow at times I kind of felt thrown in and rushed through things instead of being allowed to fully appreciate the characters and their stories. I do think this piece is at least worth a one time read if you like shounen ai, but it's not something I would do anything to own despite how enjoyable it is. And maybe I just wasn't it the right mood for it- who knows? So on that note again I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts on this piece! What did you think of it?
I look forward to serving you all again soon! Again look forward to the Detour post! Can't wait to share it all with you!
