"I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow to the knee."- Every Skyrim Guard ever.
For those of you who are not familiar with this saying, this post is for you ^-^
Good evening lovelies,
Ok, so it's a little bit scary the circles Pix and I run into as friends, because fun fact- my cell phone just went to hell the other day- restarting itself every 5 minutes. Soooooo I had to go pick out a new phone. I doubt mine is as fancy as hers considering my budget, but I got a Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro. So I'm adjusting to using that. I also must confess that this is kind of a little bit of a lazy post for me because I got myself addicted to the Walking Dead and since my boss has been on vacation and I picked up a bunch of hours- date nights with Netflix have been frequent. So forgive your lazy waitress.
This may not be anime, but I argue this should be in every gamer/nerd's arsenal of entertainment. So bringing you the game I have currently logged 400 hours on (trust me it's a lot easier to do than you might think). Let me bring you....
Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Play/Buy it here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/72850/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim/
What is it: Just as you are about to be punished for your crimes the land shudders and shakes with a roar from the skies. Flames burst from above and a creature of legends appears after many years. Dragons have returned to Skyrim and only the chosen dragonborn can bring about peace in a world filled with monsters and war. Or can peace ever truly be found? Travel across the world to discover your destiny, complete quests, and meet hundreds of people.
From the beginning of the game you get to choose your race and appearance throughout the game. Granted this can take forever by itself depending on how picky you are about your character's looks. So far in the game I have played two races- a dark elf, and a khajit (cat creature). I absolutely love this game, it's the perfect way to unwind after a stressful day, I personally enjoy doing a lot of quests for people in games and this game allows you thousands of different quests and not a single play through will be exactly the same as the last. People throughout Skyrim will treat you differently depending on what race you choose to be. You can choose to be an overall good character, or you can cause mischief where ever you go. I have the legendary pack edition where I get the dawnguard quests, dragonborn, and hearthfire quest lines (I got a store copy for Christmas you can get those as DLCs on Steam). I personally recommend if you are going to try it out to go with the original version- they just did a special edition version but it wouldn't play on my computer because the graphics were too intensive it would crash every few minutes. Granted if you have a heavy power computer, go ahead and go for the special edition. I love the story lines in the game, there are a ton of different types of people that you meet through out the story. Some of the quests progress and some just help you to get some funds. You can have your own house(s), marry, and adopt children in the game. The graphics are amazing, sometimes I can get a chill just from walking through the snowy mountains. I enjoy the voice acting through out the game, and I have to say, this game will never bore me, it is something I can play again and again. You can choose different weapon styles to use during game play. My first character was a duel wielder, my second character is an archer and a thief. There are so many ways to make the journey in the game your own and there are mods that can be used for the game (I personally have never used any of them). So honest opinion- no matter how old I get I will most likely be recommending Elder Scrolls V Skyrim to friends and family and there is a good chance that I'll be playing it if I get old enough to be sitting in a nursing home. If you like role playing games, with story, fighting, and an amazing adventure, and it's simple enough almost anyone can play (granted I get lost in the game all of the time) and it has a very open world so you can spend hours just exploring! Yeep! I just absolutely love it! There are soo many things I can say about this game, but seriously instead of letting me yammer on about it- go play it! I doubt you will be disappointed! If you have any Skyrim stories feel free to share!
Thanks for reading once again, I look forward to serving you next time!
