Hello lovelies!
I've had a bit of a bad day, but despite that I thought I would share some smiles with you. My post is early this week because this weekend is Christmas and my birthday is on Friday. Also I thought a lot of you would love the adorable nerdy wrapping paper idea I came up with this year. If you try it out I would love to see what you do with it! So I was talking to Pixie-chan and had commented I wanted to wrap her gifts in a nerdy way, but as I looked for nerdy wrapping paper I realized I would spending an arm and a leg for it. So later that night as I was trying to get some sleep I came up with a fabulous super cheap fun way to wrap her gifts. So all you need for this project is white wrapping paper (found at the dollar tree) or something fairly plain, and your choice of makers (I used promarkers, they allowed me nice color and they dried fast enough i didn't have issues with smearing). On top of that all you need is the gift you are wrapping and tape. To add some flare to my gifts I bought some ribbon and bows from the dollar tree. The poka-dot bows you see on two of the gifts are from the dollar tree as well, but they are actually hairbands! So your giftee can keep the hairband to use as well! Just a little bonus. So most of us have wrapped presents before so I won't go into all the deets, but as you can see above I shared a reference picture I found in a google search for the different expressions I wanted on my gifts. You can either draw the face on the wrapping paper before you put it on the gift if it is awkward. The ones that were wrapped in boxes and such I just drew the faces on after I had them wrapped. I liked having a variety of colors for my markers so I could add the pink blushies, or the blue tears/drool. The captions I added were ones I came up with where I added the package speaking to the reciever so they knew who the package belonged too without it looking awkward. The only challenge I had while I was wrapping was that the white wrapping paper I had picked up was a bit see through, so I remedied that by just wrapping more than one layer. The project only takes a few seconds more, maybe a few minutes if you're going to add on ribbons (which I just tacked on with tape). It's super adorable, tons of fun, and allows you to personalize the gifts even more, while adding a nerdy touch. In the picture above you can see my end results, you can do this with regular wrapping, or if you don't have the time to wrap, you can plain colored gift bags and added faces to those as well, as you could see I did with the brown one! This project costs maybe a whole $5.00 when you're trying to go cheap during the holidays, maybe a bit more depending on how much you need! I'm really excited to see my friends and family recieve these adorable little gifts. Well my lovelies, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this project and share with me if you have any ideas on how to improve it, or see your results if you try it yourself. Thank you so much for checking it out. All of you have an amazing Christmas and New Years! Excited to share another year with you all! *Sami-chan Hey everyone!
Here is my pumpkin. I'm really excited how this turned out. Its my first time ever painting a pumpkin and a very long time since I've actually painted. But I think it turned out pretty well! Let me know what you think. *Pixie Since I have been planning on doing a fem undertaker this next year for con this is one of the makeup tutorials I came across and thought I would share it with you all :3
*Sami-chan Hello lovelies,
All of us decided we would share our pumpkins with you this year and this is what I came up with. I hope you all enjoy it! It's Kyubey from Madoka Magica. Sorry about the glare from the camera flash! *Sami-chan Happy Halloween Everyone! Booooooo!
Hope you are all enjoying yourselves! Wanted to share a photo of my pumpkin this year; Mr. Jack. He thinks of himself as a King. LOL As I am sure you noticed in the title. I went very simple this year and used the dirty/yucky side to give him some added character. We would love to see or hear about how your pumpkins turned out this year. Cinder-san Hey guys, If you need thigh high boots for a cosplay but can't spend the money, check out this diy vid. This has gotten me super excited for my next cosplay since I need 1 thigh high and 1 not. These guys are amazing! Someday people. Someday I too will be able to create something amazing like that.
*Pixie Trying out the perfect way to nerd out your Valentines? These are a bunch of adorable V-day cards with some of our favorite anime characters. Whether you love yourself or someone else this Valentines make it a day to remember!
*Sami-chan Good evening Chibi Bites Readers!
I'm glad to have you all here again today! So I decided to share I little project that I did early this afternoon. When I was in the middle of cleaning my room I realized that I had my pins from con lying around. My pin collection is still really small compared to some, but I like being able to have them where I can see them. I've never been lucky with pinning them to my bags or clothes or anything like that, I tend to end up with them falling off, which can be really depressing. So why not try a little something different so I can still fully love my pins! This is my pin it up frame- you can see the final product on top. It was a spur of a moment project that turned out much better than I anticipated. Materials: Cheap frame (I used a dollar store frame), piece of fabric about the size of the frame, hot glue gun and glue sticks, and of course your Pins! |
