Hey everyone!
So one of the things that drives me crazy when it comes to cosplaying is fighting with the wigs. This last year for Kyoko I bought a wig that has a really long pony tail in the back and let me tell you! It’s heavy and I was really worried about it slipping off after a few trials of running around the house in it, trying to figure out how I was going to keep it on over my thick curly hair and keep my real hair from showing. Deciding I had to take on this issue before I made it to the convention I came across this tutorial on Deviant Art. I personally didn’t get my pincurls to turn out as nice as hers, but omg! I was able to get a couple done and didn’t have a single issue with my hair slipping the only thing I had to worry about was trying to keep it from getting really tangled while walking around con- even when my wig got caught on a fellow cosplayer’s cosplay shirt it didn’t come off so I highly recommend going through this person wig tutorials- the link here is for the pincurls, but if you look around her page there’s advice for putting on wig caps, and the wig itself and advice on how to keep it from sliding around on your head. It’s definitely worth reading and can make your cosplay so much more comfortable for a long weekend! Check it out!
